Some History
Doing full live Tributes was not on my radar. I am a relatively new singer compared to those who have been singing for 10+ years in the virtual worlds. I was just happy to get out a show with no glitches. Then things changed.
I still do many tributes, but don't have them being videotaped currently.
The Neil Tributes
I owe the Neil Diamond tributes to my friend Ann Seetan. I sing at her ballroom and country venues. Ann brought me on when I was just a pup, gave me a singing job and believed in me. I do a lot of different types of songs, but she said she liked my Neil Diamond above all. One day she took me to hear a Tribute Band - those who play Neil music in the background and have avatars that mimic a Neil show. The place was packed. She told me at that point, I could do a live Neil Diamond tribute. It was some time before I let that become reality. Thanks Ann for believing in me!
Kenny Rogers Tributes
This was the brainchild of Dandy Schism. I have been playing for some time at his venue as well. I really balked at this idea of doing Kenny tribute. Some people have said I sound like Neil when I sing his tunes, but Kenny? Well, I came to rest knowing that I don't need to sound like Kenny, just do his music and so, after months and months of working on his material, I finally came up with enough songs to do a Kenny tribute. These are very new but fun.
Joe Cocker Tributes
No one asked me to start Joe Cocker Tributes. I started these myself because I like Joe Cocker and his death a few years back spurned me on to have people remember this very influential singer.
I'm Not Alone
Doing tributes requires a lot of help. With my backup dancers of over 2 years - Netera, Sandy, and Talia, we have had over 20 live Neil Tributes and a Kenny tribute it keeps growing. Sandy has built all the recent stages for the tributes. Netera and Talia do research on the songs and send out info during particular songs. Liam Hoffen runs the lighting for the shows, and recently KathyZog Destiny has taken up capturing video during the show. Then there are the venue owners. Specific criteria must be met to have a tribute. It is not a regular show. We have had to decline doing tributes at some venues because the owner could or would not follow our guidelines. Those owners who have hosted a tribute know that it is time-consuming in preparation. We are there sometimes a week in advance getting ready. So I am so grateful to those who surround me. I may be the one singing the tunes, but tributes would be impossible to do by myself. I want to give a very special thanks to all who attend the tributes. They are a labor of love. One more thanks is in order. A big thanks to those who have accompanied me for some of my duets: ZDiva Sorbet and Krisie Snowdrop.

ps Not every tribute is filmed or recorded. I try to keep up with the webpages, but typically fall behind.
